This title showcases the shared future of Xenoblade Chronicles and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and transports you to the world of Aionios, home of two warring nations.

As in the previous Xenoblade Chronicles games, you will begin each combat by facing the enemy in an open field. You will have to exploit the strengths of each of the six members of your team and take into account their position relative to the opponent.

Some characters you befriend during the adventure will also be able to join the battle, expanding the range of strategies available. As you advance in Aionios, you will be able to customise your team by changing character classes to better suit each situation.

Furthermore, if certain conditions occur during combat, each of the pairs of Noah and Mio, Lanz and Sena, and Eunie and Taion can combine and assume a giant form called an Ouroboros. Each Ouroboros has its own powerful techniques and knowing exactly when to transform can be the key to winning the fight!
